Do I need a referral or a Mental Health Care Plan?
​
A referral and/or a Mental Health Care Plan is not required to receive Medicare Rebates.
So you can self-refer, and access our services in a timely manner. A referral is preferred if your GP or Therapist has background information to better inform your care.

What age groups do you support?
​
We support clients aged 15 to 17 for stress, low mood, sleep issues.
18 and up including older adults and seniors
Neurodevelopmental assessments (ADHD, Autism) are available for adults aged 18 to 50

Do you offer LGBTIQ+ and disability-inclusive services?

Soul Care NP Services is committed to providing affirming, inclusive, and accessible care for all clients. We welcome individuals across the LGBTIQ+ spectrum, neurodiverse communities, and those living with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial disability. Our assessments and interventions are trauma-informed, culturally safe, and tailored to support identity, autonomy, and access. We also provide reports and documentation, and collaborate with support coordinators, carers, and multidisciplinary teams including public and private sectors where needed.

Are Medicare rebates available?
​
Yes, without referrals.
Medicare rebates apply to eligible services provided by the MHNP. No GP sign-off or collaborative arrangement is required. You’ll receive a rebate for most consultations, assessments, and care planning sessions.

Can I access services if I’m a temporary resident or not eligible for Medicare?
​
Yes.
We welcome clients who are temporary residents, international students, or those without Medicare access.
​
Do you offer ADHD and Autism assessments?
​
Yes.
For adults aged 18+. Assessments include structured interviews, informant input, and multidisciplinary review with Consultant Psychiatrist where appropriate.

Can you prescribe medications?
​
Yes.
The MHNP can prescribe medications independently, including antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilisers, anti-craving, ADHD non-stimulants and sleep supports. Stimulant prescribing (e.g. dexamphetamine, lisdexamfetamine) is available in collaboration with a Consultant Psychiatrist to ensure diagnostic accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Can you refer me to a Consultant Psychiatrist or private hospital?
​
Yes.
We offer structured assessments to support psychiatrist referral and private mental health hospital admission. All required referrals will be completed by the MHNP. We are able to facilitate Medicare funded TMS and access to Day Program Groups.

Do you accept WorkCover referrals?
​
Yes.
If preapproval is granted by your insurer or case manager.​
